Techenomics awarded copper medals for fluid management at Oyu Tolgoi

Awards follow audit by operators of major Mongolian mine
When Rio Tinto hands out awards for technical services suppliers and service providers at its massive Oyu Tolgoi mine in southern Mongolia, it is appropriate the medals are made of copper, the mine’s primary metal.

One of the operations’ service providers is Techenomics Mongolia and the company is honored and delighted to have picked up copper medals.

Medals were awarded to Techenomics’ CEO Chris Adsett and Mongolian operations manager Tumee in recognition of the company’s provision of fluid management and condition monitoring services at Oyu Tolgoi.

The medals were awarded as part of an audit carried out by Rio Tinto’s operating subsidiary Oyu Tolgoi LLC, which evaluated suppliers and service providers based on Rio Tinto’s industry-leading global standards.

As part of its commitment to quality, safety and sustainability, Oyu Tolgoi regularly conducts audits to ensure that its partners at the operation are aligned with the core values.

The audit reviewed key areas such as safety management systems, operational procedures, environmental practices and overall compliance.
CEO Chris Adsett said the company’s successful participation in the audit was a reflection of the dedication, professionalism, skills and continuous improvement of the team at Techenomics Mongolia.

He said the achievement strengthened the company’s long-standing partnership with Oyu Tolgoi and further motivated Techenomics to maintain and enhance its performance in all aspects of its operations, not only in Mongolia but throughout the global operations.
