Techenomics, ‘your partner in lubrication reliability’, opens new South Kalimantan lab
Supporting engineering excellence, one sample at a time
Techenomics, ‘Your partner in lubrication reliability’, continues to serve the resources industry in areas of mining growth and has opened a new lubricant analysis laboratory in the Tanjung-Tabalong district of South Kalimantan, Indonesia.
The new laboratory, equipped with modern analysis equipment and staffed by trained tribology experts, will service the thriving coal mining industry in the region, which includes the large ADARO Energy – Tanjung coal mining project.
It is not the only PT Tekenomiks Indonesia laboratory in Kalimantan as the company also serves other mining and industry hotspots in Kalimantan East, Kalimantan Central and Kalimantan South.
Techenomics International CEO Chris Adsett said through the Indonesian group’s commitment to ‘Support engineering excellence, one sample at a time’ the company had established a strong presence in these large and busy mining areas.
“We understand the importance of undertaking lubricant analysis quickly and accurately so that monitoring the condition of routine maintenance programs for heavy equipment on mining sites can run optimally.
“We expect that this new facility can be utilized by all our mine site customers around Tanjung Tabalong, South Kalimantan, Central Kalimantan and even West Kalimantan,” he said.
“Analysis services from the new laboratory are also available to all operators of road, rail and marine transport, as well as industries in which lubricants are used to maintain operations of engines, plant and mechanical equipment.”
He said that as Indonesia’s mining industry was continuing to expand, the company was also extending its reach to ensure mine operators and contractors could optimise the life and performance of oil and all other lubricants.
As well as laboratories in Kalimantan serving the country’s major miners and the burgeoning mining industry, PT Tekenomiks Indonesia has its head office and a laboratory in Jakarta and a laboratory in Batam that provides a wide range of offshore oil and gas services.
The global company, which has been operating more than 30 years, has laboratories in Mongolia and Australia and a presence in Singapore and Africa.
“At Techenomics, we focus on delivering accurate results for our clients from each and every sample that we take,” Adsett said.
“In this way we support engineering excellence through the science of tribology and are able to tailor our services to the unique characteristics of each operation or mine site no matter where they are located,” he added.
In addition to the fluid management services, Techenomics distributes the unique Liquid Tungsten nano-technology that when added to lubricants minimises friction, lowers operating temperatures, improves fuel consumption and reduces emissions.
