IF-WS2 lowers fuel consumption in VW Golf and powers rally team to victory
IF-WS2 nano particles – The inorganic fullerene-like tungsten disulphide (IF-WS2) nanoparticles being distributed by Techenomics continue to show their impressive qualities in a variety of situations.
Firstly, the NanoLub IF-WS2 nano particles have boosted fuel economy in a series of unofficial road-user trials in a VW Golf and, secondly, a Porsche 911 treated with the NanoLub product has been successful in a European rally.
Techenomics CEO Chris Adsett says the product keeps showing its value in all manner of trials and in a wide range of applications, including passenger vehicles, competition racing, heavy vehicles, mining fleets, industrial equipment, etc.
“IF-WS2 achieves amazing results owing to its ability to cover moving metal surfaces with a protective coating that reduces friction and lower operating temperatures, thereby preventing damage which leads to costly maintenance or even downtime due to component failure.
“These properties enable users to get better performance and life from engine oil which also results in improved fuel consumption and greater productivity.”
The IF-WS2 fuel consumption qualities have been demonstrated in a trial with the product added to the oil reservoir of a VW Golf, achieving around a 13% improvement.
The best consumption the owner had achieved prior to adding IF-WS2 was 8.5 litres per 100km in moderate highway driving without many hills. This has been improved to an average of 7.85 litres in a mix of predominantly highway driving with some in-city conditions. A demonstration of the benefits can be shown in the 20/80 mix of city and highway driving with the second tank delivering 8.33 litres/100km and the fourth tank 8.24 litres.
After re-dosing with about 200ml of IF-WS2 in a 4.7-litre reservoir, the owner then achieved 7.58 litres/100km on the fourth tank.
Comparing the three 20/80 data points suggests a fuel saving of 8-9% when comparing something with a residual dose compared to a full dose.
The rally team of Jan Vonka and co-driver Milan Klička added NanoLub AC-1000 AW/AF to the engine oil of their Porsche 911 in the recent ValMez Rally in the Czech Republic and powered to success.
Owner of the team sponsored by Nanotech Europe, Milan Štelcl, said the accomplishment would not have been possible without the AC-1000.
“This oil additive could give any regular car engine extra strength to withstand the usual wear and tear. It dramatically increases horsepower, extends engine life while reducing its noise. We are convinced that our team will claim the Czech Championship.”
On top of that, he said, NanoLub AC-1000 significantly lowered harmful engine emissions. It can be used with mineral and synthetic oils.
Chris Adsett says the environmental credentials were recognised recently when the product gained an important ISO-14001 environmental accreditation.
This certification of the IF-WS2 products of NanoMaterials Ltd, the Israeli subsidiary of US-based Nanotech Industrial Solutions Inc (NIS), covers the technology’s environmental qualities, which encompass reducing emissions.
